Samanta Turned One!!

Hi everyone, well it has been about a year since we posted so I guess we are a little over due. Sami just turned one year old on May 24th!! We had a little gathering on Monday which was a blast. Everything is going well with us. We are living at my parents house until further notice. We are renting our house in Renton to a very nice Canadian Football player. We hope to move back into our house in November. That will have been a year with my parents so we will be definitely itching for our own space. Rudy just got the permanent position at Station 73 and is absolutely loving it!! He will be starting to ride his bike back and forth to work here pretty soon. Yay!! I am taking care of a little 4 month old girl named Kaitlyn. She gets dropped off at our house every weekday morning. It is a great way for me to make some money while staying home with Samantha. Once we move back into our house in Renton, Kaitlyn's house is about 2 blocks away, so that will be so convenient!! We go on daily walks in our neighborhood or at Greenlake or Seward, so let us know if you want to join. Tah Tah, Anne

Samantha Lauren 5/24/08 8:29am, 9lbs 8oz, 19"

She's finally here! We would like to introduce Samantha Lauren Case to you. She is 15 days old today (6/8/08) and we can't believe how time flies. It seems like we just brought her home yesterday. She is doing very well. Anne is also recovering like a champ. We are going on our first date night tonight while Grandma Butterfield watches her for us. Go Grandma!! We are exhausted, but I'm reading this great book called Babywise that will hopefully help us with her sleep and feeding schedule. Samantha is breast feeding and in the 95th percentile for her height and weight. The pediatrician said she is very healthy and strong. She can already pick her head up and move it around. Her eyes are opening up wider and wider every day and she has started to turn her head toward the sound of our voices. We can't wait to experience all the joys of parenthood!!

The new biz

Rudy and I recently started our own company. After much deliberation we finally decided to call it CaseWorks, LLC. My father came up with the name in a dream...crazy huh? Anyway, Rudy has so much time off since he is a fire fighter that we decided to explore the world of the self-employed. We have our ad in Craigslist and we are doing very well so far. Rudy delivers top-soil to people and also dumps loads of junk/yardwaste etc for people. It is perfect for part-time work and everyone has stuff they need hauled around at some point, right? You can see our 1990 dodge pickup and brand new dump trailer in the pic. Thanks to our good friend Jessica (our official financial planner), we will have all our financial planning in the bag and our new business will be thriving!!

Anne's Growing Belly

28 weeks...here goes the third tri-mester. Pretty soon we're gonna have a little one at home!!
